Final stage of WEEE implementation launched
Tuesday July 25 2006
The Department of Trade and Industry has launched its final consultation on the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive.
This announcement sees the beginning of the final phase of implementing the WEEE directive. The key aspects outlined in the consultation are expected to follow on from the review carried out last December and extensive consultation with key stakeholders since then.
The consultation will run from today until October 17 2006 and Comply Direct will ensure the views of all its early bird members are heard. If you’re a member login to the members’ area and have your say. Members will also have access to minutes from the WEEE stakeholder meeting where the consultation was launched by the DTI.
If you think you might be obligated by the WEEE legislation then why not find out more about the DTI announcement, download the consultation documents and discover more about our early bird membership.
If you are a producer of WEEE you don’t need to wait for the regulations. Start taking practical steps towards the collection and recycling of WEEE now.
